Well, we're t minus 9 days, so if this blog ends up amounting to anything, we better get started.
First off let us recognize the efforts of The Haxxxter for coordinating such an incredible lineup for the trip! I've been playing golf for about 18 years.and in that time, managed to hit 5 courses ranked in the top 100 in the world. On this trip alone, I'll add 7 to that list! Muirfield #8, Royal Dornoch, #18, Turnberry Ailsa #19, Carnoustie (Championship) #24, Royal Troon #44, Kingsbarns #61, and North Berwick West #98. The one course we're playing not on the list...St. Andrews Castle Course -- enough said!
So, I thought I'd start off with some quick research on each of the courses we're playing...would be nice after all to have a full appreciation for the history and legend of these remarkable masterpieces. Not sure if I'll make it through them all, but we'll get started and see where it goes. We'll take them in the order we're playing them...starting with Royal Dornoch.
